How PerpClash works

Everything you need to know about duels, leverage, pricing, and the season leaderboard — straight from the source, no fine print.

Overview

PerpClash is a head-to-head perpetual trading game on Solana. Two traders open opposite positions on the same market at the same time — one long, one short — and whoever has the stronger result when the clock runs out takes the pot.

There's no house taking the other side of your trade and no deposit required to start. You connect a wallet, stake Competitive Points into a duel, and trade against a real opponent on live oracle prices.

How duels work

Every duel follows the same three steps shown on the homepage: choose a market, take your position, and outperform your rival before time runs out.

  1. Match & stake. Open a duel or join an open one. Both traders commit the same pot size in CP before the clock starts.
  2. Take a side. One trader goes long, the other short, on the same market and the same entry price. Leverage is chosen independently by each side.
  3. Trade the clock. Positions mark to the live oracle price for the full duel window. You can adjust size, take profit, or stop out at any point before expiry.
  4. Settlement. When time expires, whichever trader is ahead on PnL wins the pot. Payout is automatic and on-chain.

Leverage & risk

Position size can be scaled up to 20x your stake. Higher leverage moves your PnL faster in both directions — it doesn't change your odds of winning, only how sharply the result swings before the clock runs out.

Take-profit and stop-loss levels can be set ahead of time so a position is managed even if you're not watching the chart when it moves.

Markets & pricing

Every price PerpClash trades on comes from Pyth — the same oracle network used across Solana DeFi. There are no simulated ticks: the chart you see in a duel is the same feed settling it.

Currently live markets are BTC/USD, ETH/USD, and SOL/USD, with more pairs added as liquidity and oracle coverage expand.

Season points & leaderboard

Every duel you play, win or lose, earns season points. Points accumulate on the seasonal leaderboard, which ranks the top traders by total PnL across all settled duels.

Rankings update continuously as duels settle — climbing the board is a function of both win rate and position sizing, not just streaks.

Prize pool & fees

Pots are paid out automatically to the winning trader when a duel settles. A small fee is taken from each pot and routed into the season prize vault, which is split among the top 100 ranked traders when the season ends.

FAQ

Do I need to deposit funds before trading?

No. You connect a wallet and sign into a duel — no funds move upfront. Your stake is only committed once you accept or open a match.

What happens if I disconnect mid-duel?

Your position stays live on-chain and keeps marking to the oracle price. Reconnect any time before the duel ends to manage or close it — a disconnect never forfeits the match early.

How is the winner decided?

Whoever has the stronger PnL on their position when the clock hits zero takes the pot. If both traders are still open when time expires, positions are settled at the final oracle price.

Can a duel end in a tie?

It's rare but possible if both sides settle at the exact same PnL. In that case the pot is split evenly and neither trader's streak is broken.

Where do prices come from?

PerpClash reads live prices from the Pyth oracle network — the same feeds used across Solana DeFi. There are no simulated ticks and no house-controlled pricing.

Is there a house edge?

No. PerpClash doesn't take the other side of your trade. A small fee is taken from the pot on settlement to fund the season prize vault — see Prize pool & fees.
